Job Description

The Parts Technician is responsible for ordering, warehousing and managing inventory used for construction materials on job site. The position reports to the Rental Solutions Coordinator with a dotted line to the Manager, Rental Solutions.

The closing date for this position is Oct 11, 2020.

What you’ll do:

  • Shipping, receiving and record keeping of the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock in and out.
  • Manage parts room, tent, stock outside and parts in sea cans
  • Picking supplies for job’s, crating, labeling and getting those supplies ready for shipment
  • May be required to drive trucks to service appointments & make special deliveries to job sites
  • Inspecting incoming goods against invoices and cross reference to purchase order, complete walk through of unit and check off list
  • Maintaining internal record-keeping systems
  • May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment
  • Managing and tracking of damaged, lost and stolen materials, equipment, etc.
  • Other day-to-day inventory control duties as required

Qualifications

  • A minimum High School Diploma is required and some vocational training and previous relevant experience in parts and inventory control would be considered an asset
  • Good working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and building materials is a must
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and detail oriented and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Physically fit and be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license and recent drivers abstract
  • Forklift and First Aid certificate would be considered an asset
