Job Description

We are looking for a Manage Services Engineer to join Devoteam Managed Services. We focus on developing solutions end to end within Cloud Providers and its technologies.

  • Manage and maintain hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring infrastructure, middleware, and database systems are consistently available, scalable, and operational.

  • Perform routine activities, including security updates, OS patching, database maintenance, index rebuilding, and backups, documenting all operational processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex infrastructure or database issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and continuously improve the environment.

  • Manage monitoring and observability solutions, such as AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Monitoring, Grafana, and Prometheus, to identify and address performance and availability issues before they impact the business.

  • Automate operational tasks, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure provisioning workflows using tools like Terraform, Ansible, AWS Lambda, Azure Automation, or Python/Bash scripting to reduce manual interventions and increase efficiency.

  • Respond proactively to alerts, critical incidents, and high-priority tickets, conducting deep-dive analyses to minimize recurrence and maintain strict SLA compliance.

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd-line technical and application support for critical enterprise systems, APIs, and multi-cloud infrastructure, ensuring rapid restoration of services.

  • Analyze, debug, rewrite, and optimize complex PL/SQL code, stored procedures, triggers, packages, and heavy queries to troubleshoot database bottlenecks and resolve data inconsistencies in production.

  • Perform core Database Administration (DBA) tasks, including performance tuning, execution plan analysis, connection pool management, and lock/deadlock resolution to support application reliability.

  • Implement and manage security and compliance policies, including configuring Identity and Access Management (IAM), role-based access controls (RBAC), and permissions to secure multi-cloud, gateway (GW), and database environments.

  • Monitor, audit, and respond to security events, vulnerabilities, and access anomalies in real-time, ensuring best security practices and data privacy regulations are followed.

  • Document incidents, resolutions, known errors, deployment runbooks, and operational procedures within Jira Service Management to promote centralized, shared knowledge.

  • Analyze and correlate system logs, transaction traces, and data flows to diagnose application failures, runtime exceptions, and integration issues across distributed environments.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in IT Managed Services, supporting production environments across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and relational databases.

  • Available for 24/7 prevention scale

Technical Skills:

  • Solid experience with multi-platform cloud services, architecture components, and hybrid connectivity (VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute).

  • Strong proficiency in Database Administration (DBA), Oracle or SQL Server environments, and advanced PL/SQL or T-SQL development, analysis, and performance tuning.

  • Advanced proficiency in automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and scripting tools, like Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.

  • Deep familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus).

  • Solid understanding of application support, API gateways, web servers (Apache, Nginx, IIS), and enterprise application integration.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with global teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and high attention to detail under high-pressure SLA environments.

  • Ability to work independently, manage priority tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team of cross-functional technical engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in cloud platforms, such as AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure Administrator Associate, or Google Associate Cloud Engineer.

  • Professional certifications in Database Administration (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator).

  • Experience supporting high-transaction environments, financial systems, or critical application workloads.

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks, incident management workflows, serverless architectures, and microservices/container practices (Kubernetes, Docker).
