You will be part of a team of 5 developers and will report to the Data domain manager. 

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Business Analysts to ensure the deliveries meet requirements.                                           
• Develops, unit tests and implements new functionality and enhancements in the system in accordance with bank-wide technical architecture standards.
• Manages code reviews and source control repository as well as deployments (with APS).
• Improves existing software by correcting bugs, refactoring or rewriting code when identified necessary.
• Manages general software issues relating to data integrity, system efficiency, functional architecture, performance, etc.                           
• Provides a clear progress update on tasks to the domain manager on a regular basis, escalates risk and issues in a timely manner.                                 
• Provides mentoring and guidance to other team members and sets the technical direction within the scope of the concerned applications.

• Proven experience (5+ years) in Python development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented and modular programming principles.

• Expertise in code refactoring and improving code quality.

• Proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and regression testing.

• Good knowledge of C++ development language (minimum, academic experience).

• Experience with Jenkins CI and writing Jenkins files.

• Deep understanding of the SOLID principles of object-oriented design.

• Experience with distributed computing principles and optimizing data processing.

• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve technical problems.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-
  technical teams.
