About the Team:

The TAM will work hand-in-hand with a Key Account Manager as part of a new team to support, manage, and liaise with our largest and most strategic accounts. The Account Management team will be at the forefront of our customers’ digitalization journeys, helping them navigate the adoption of existing technologies, and discovery of new ones. The TAM report to the Services Manager in Germany. We are one global team, but our local Sales units have a lot of experience in starting business on new markets and you can count on their support and advice. 

About the Role:

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) will be responsible for customer success services with our most important customer accounts. Daily activities include warm calling, running meetings, creating and delivering presentations to update clients on their Cloud adoption, usage, and long-term roadmap. The TAM must help customers optimize their Cloud purchases and ensure a high level of satisfaction with the products and services they use from Avalon by Devoteam. The TAM will work jointly with the Key Account Manager (KAM) in order to have a successful engagement. Understanding of our products, services, and our customers’ digital transformation journeys will be crucial to success.


We are looking for a person with a BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience) is a must. Our new Technical Account Manager should also: 

  • Be a goal-oriented and self-motivated individual 

  • Be tenacious, confident, and persuasive 

  • Enjoy working with people, and finding ways to support them, find solutions to their challenges 

  • Be analytical and well organised, as well as show project management skills

  • Be able to move comfortably between the big picture and details 

  • Have an experience with Python, Java or Golang development

Other qualifications:

  • Fluency in German and English

 Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in technical presales of SaaS applications 

  • Understanding of cloud computing and cloud based solutions landscape 

  • Ability to translate technical functionalities to business values 

  • Fluency in IaaS, SaaS and PaaS terminology 

  • Soft skills required to build and cultivate relationships with the customers
