This role is part of a wider Retail Finance team that partners store operations leadership to operate market leading stores that deliver against our financial plans and strategic initiatives. Your role is the heartbeat of the retail finance team, ensuring that appropriate plans are formed, risks & opportunities to those plans are known and that monthly performance is understood and acted upon. If it's driving the retail number, it's likely passed your desk.

 

Your Role

  • Collaborate with the Central FP&A team to drive and deliver the retail long-term and in-year planning processes incorporating the retail elements of the P&L as well as the strategic projects within
  • Lead the short-term rolling forecast process for retail, incorporating known risks & opportunities
  • Through collaboration with the wider retail finance team, own the month-end review, providing insightful action-orientated board packs and integrating outputs with the rolling forecast process
  • Collaborate with the wider retail finance team to produce “one version of the truth” to retail leadership, providing clarity on our performance position vs. plan and the insight necessary for action to be taken
  • Lead the transformation to “best in class” planning & forecasting processes within the retail finance team
  • Support the transformation of the store performance management framework at month end. Helping to ensure controllable P&Ls drive appropriate action supported by insightful management information
  • Collaborate with the retail finance field business partners to ensure that central performance messages drive consistent field partnering challenge and that a common view of risks & opportunities is formed
  • Working with our central FP&A team you'll ensure planning processes are aligned and that risks & opportunities are reflected to support board decision making
  • Working with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders you'll help to make complex financial concepts easy to understand and act upon
  • Play an active role within the wider finance community

 

About you

  • Relevant professional level finance / business qualification preferred
  • Proactive individual who takes ownership and accountability
  • Excellent collaborator with solid interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate complex matters simply and effectively
  • Has a change and continuous improvement mindset and feels comfortable with the uncertainty change brings
  • Autonomous thinker able to identify areas of focus with the passion to drive things forward
