Do you have a background in accountancy or audit? Do you want to add value and see the fruits of your labour realised? Do want the opportunity to join a key team in Finance delivering high quality financial information to the business and our external stakeholders?

Your role

You will help deliver our external reporting to our investors and other stakeholders, gaining visibility across various areas of Finance and the wider business whilst developing a great understanding of Asda's financial performance. 

Also you'll  have the opportunity to drive improvements to key processes and adapt our ways of working to new and improved systems.

You will be a key part of the Controllership team, combining your technical knowledge with communication and prioritisation skills to ensure that we deliver robust and informative financial reporting. Responsibilities include

  • Executing and improving our key annual and quarterly statutory reporting processes;
  • Taking responsibility for key control processes in the Statutory Reporting team's remit;
  • Providing financial controls oversight to ASDA's charitable activities;
  • Project responsibilities relating to the evolution of the group structure;
  • Driving further efficiency and effectiveness in our statutory reporting processes and corporate structure

About You

  • You will be a qualified accountant either ACA, CIMA, ACCA or MBA
  • You must have demonstrable attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to multitask, prioritise and work at pace
