Job Description

Purpose

Senior Software Developer has lead position within SCRUM team. Holder of the position is responsible for development, design and implementation of new or modified software products or ongoing business projects. Target of development is automation of business processes and cross platform automation. Senior Software Developer handles all phases of software development lifecycle, especially for small or midsize solutions. Provide independent technical expertise, follow agreed methodology steps and rituals and take responsibility for produced code to deliver functional solution with team. Mentor and feedback less experienced colleagues, present team outputs and share knowledge within company. Document and share best practices and constantly work on self-development. Follow industry trends, bring and recommend innovations.

Project description: ITSM Implementation using ServiceNow (CIS ITSM) - Custom App

The project focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes using the ServiceNow platform. As a Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS ITSM), the role involves translating business requirements into scalable ITSM solutions aligned with industry best practices such as ITIL framework.                                                                 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Design and Development of the complex IT systems/applications
  • Primary focus on Development in Request Fulfilment / Catalog Items
  • Using T&M on quarterly base with option for extension each quarter until end of 2026
  • Analysis of the requirements and communication with internal stakeholders
  • Use agreed programing language or tools to develop automation solutions.
  • Development according to Agile methodology – SCRUM / Agile Development experiences
  • Creation of technical documentation
  • Creative approach within complex solution and technology used
  • Active participation on research & development projects
  • Work closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts on implementation and testing of the developed solution
  • Mentor junior developers and participate on onboarding procedure

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

  • Have very good knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, especially in building custom apps
  • Have experience in implementing requirements in ServiceNow: configuration, scripting, and development of solutions
  • Be confident in using Service Portal, Catalog Items, and Self-Service Applications
  • Have experience with data migrations, CMDB data modeling, and ServiceNow Foundation Data
  • Have understanding ITIL processes (ideally ITIL v4) and mapping them to ServiceNow

Technical Capabilities:

  • Know-how in JavaScript with ServiceNow-Context (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, Flow Designer, Workflows)
  • Safe to use ServiceNow configuration and development tools
  • Experience with update sets, scoped apps, and version control
  • Understanding of security concepts (roles, ACLs, data access models)
  • Experience with automations (flows, workflows, integrations)

Methodological and personal skills:

  • Structured and reliable way of working with high quality standards
  • Ability to quickly understand technical requirements and implement them in ServiceNow
  • Independent work in the development team and ability to work in a team
  • Experience in agile projects (Scrum) is an advantage

Qualifications:

  • Certifications:
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) (MUST HAVE)
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications are beneficial (optional)
  • ITSM ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS ITSM)
  • Primary focus on Development in Request Fulfilment / Catalog Items
  • 3+ years Project Experience

Language skills:

  • Good knowledge of written and spoken German (nice to have)
  • English (must)

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 3100€ /brutto.
