The main purpose of this job is senior technical expert responsibility for design and implementation of an assigned technology.

About the project

Coming from a monolithic application landscape as baseline, Deutsche Telekom IT is applying selected Greenfield approaches to break down legacy backend landscape to modernize into EU wide, cloud native, decoupled and scalable IT environment. High quality Software and System architectural skills are needed to drive this transformation. Mid 2020 the new domain of Deutsche Telekom Business Solution (DTBS) has been established to serve customers in the Business-to-Business segment (B2B).

In this area we use ServiceNow as a platform for digital order management.

This role includes design and evolution of existing IT architecture in the Digital Order Management hub of Canvas C23 for our portfolio. These include in particular:


  • Design and develop ServiceNow solutions, specially designing workflows, defining interfaces and customizations to Service now.
  • You will play a key role in architectural planning and decision-making, ensuring that ServiceNow solution aligns with Deutsche Telekom IT’s strategy and infrastructure.
  • Design RESTful APIs for reuse and decomposing of our monolithic system landscape.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders, including IT teams, business leaders and external partners. You will lead project teams, give technical guidance, and facilitate collaboration to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Define a target architecture for our B2B microservice landscape.
  • Collaboration on architectural runways (architectural vision) and conception of required enablers in consultation with Scrum teams and external stakeholders.
  • Cooperation and coordination with IT and business stakeholders, other Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and architects.



You have a university degree with emphasis in Computer Science or Information Systems or other STEM field, which has provided you with a solid foundation of analytical thinking, problem solving and technological skills.

  • Expert in ServiceNow, especially ITSM (IT Service Management).
  • Good knowledge about ITOM (IT Operations Management) and CSM (Customer Service Management)
  • Expertise in Order Management for telecommunications, telecommunications service management, product inventory and data segregation.
  • Experience in TMF (Tele-Management Forum).
  • Operational experience with agile methods in software development (SAFe)
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Broad knowledge in the field of B2B solution business and E2E processes with a focus on the entire order to cash process.
  • Fluency in English, German is advantage.

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will vary and will not be lower than 2500 € /brutto.
