Job Description

To strengthen our Network Engineering organization, we are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with strong Juniper expertise to join our international Second Level Engineering team.

As a Experienced Network Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering, operating, and continuously improving a Juniper-based Hybrid WAN platform built on a modern Spine-Leaf architecture.

Unlike traditional Spine-Leaf deployments that are limited to a single data center, this solution extends across geographically distributed enterprise WAN environments, integrating customer locations, multiple data centers, Data Center Perimeter services, and public cloud providers into a unified, highly available network platform.

You will work closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, Operations teams, and international customer representatives throughout the complete service lifecycle—from solution implementation to operational support and continuous service improvement.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize network solutions within a Juniper Hybrid WAN (Spine-Leaf) environment.
  • Engineer new connectivity between enterprise data centers, customer environments, and public cloud platforms.
  • Design and deploy new network segments according to customer requirements.
  • Configure, implement, and maintain Juniper routing and switching infrastructure.
  • Design, deploy, and support:
    • VRFs
    • VPN services
    • Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing
    • Data Center Perimeter connectivity
    • Hybrid cloud connectivity
  • Perform implementation and validation of production changes according to Change Management processes.
  • Perform lifecycle management activities, including software upgrades, infrastructure modernization, and platform improvements.
  • Analyze and resolve complex network incidents and service degradations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and contribute to continuous service improvement.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with international engineering teams, architects, project managers, and customer stakeholders.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation after the onboarding period.

Qualifications

Required

  • English and German Business Professional B2  (professional context related communication skill)
  • 3+ years of professional experience in enterprise network engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Juniper Networks and Junos OS.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Juniper routing and switching environments.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • BGP
    • OSPF
    • EVPN/VXLAN
    • VRFs
    • VPN technologies
    • Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
  • Experience integrating enterprise networks with public cloud platforms.
  • Experience working in production environments following ITIL-based operational processes.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • JNCIP Enterprise or JNCIP Data Center certification or level knowledge
  • CCNP-level networking knowledge or equivalent practical experience.
  • System and solution related experience on server and OS management
  • DNS DHCP server management knowledge and understanding

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with Hybrid WAN and Spine-Leaf architectures.
  • Experience with MPLS.
  • Experience with automation technologies such as Python, Ansible, or REST APIs.
