Job Description

Department and Project

This position is within the Tolling Services team of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary. The team consists of IT professionals specializing in electronic road-charging solutions. Together with our partners, we develop and operate intelligent, kilometer-based tolling systems for international customers, covering the entire business process (vehicle registrations, country booking, providing On-Board Units, position data transmission, charge calculation, and fleet billing). Leveraging digital intelligence and advanced technology, our tolling solutions facilitate seamless mobility across Europe. The team aims to enhance existing services and expand into new domains. As part of an international team collaborating with T-Systems International, you will play a key role in supporting our customers with cutting-edge tolling solutions.

Main tasks

As Linux Devops Engineer:

You will be part of a new cloud architecture and operating environment with automation, IaC and customer ordering portal which needs to be developed together with the other infrastructure and operation squads.

More than currently 300 servers need to be newly built and transferred to the new world.

Qualifications

Background and required skills:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in the following areas: Computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, natural science, mathematics, business or equivalent work experience in IT
  • Daily Operations & System Management: Manage and maintain daily operations for CMO and FMO environments, including LDAP, DNS, virtualization (VMware), and operational tools. Ensure systems are consistently updated and patched.
  • Automation & Deployment: Design and build automated host deployment and operation automation (patching, housekeeping, monitoring, etc.) in collaboration with architects and relevant teams.
  • Change & Transition Management: Formulate and manage change requests using TSRS or customer ITSM tools. Support data/application migration, testing, and audits during system transitions.
  • Agile & Collaborative Work: Apply agile working concepts across cross-functional teams, integrating with infrastructure, Waldur, and network/OCP teams.
  • System Integration: Handle integration of Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) and Debian desktops, especially for special client environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess deep technical skills in Linux (RHEL), Satellite, Salt, LDAP, DNS, and virtualization technologies.
  • English - fluent

Advantage:

  • Experience working in SAFe environment.
  • Jira/Confluence - project management and documentation platforms
  • German knowledge
