About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and DevOps platforms. You will design, implement, and optimize platform infrastructure that enables development teams to build and deploy applications reliably and efficiently. This role requires strong technical depth in cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines. You'll work across cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and drive continuous improvements in platform reliability, performance, and developer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP and/or AWS for development and production environments
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (GKE/EKS) including node pools, autoscaling, networking, and security configurations
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm charts) for repeatable and version-controlled deployments
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar tools for automated testing and deployment
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, ELK, or similar tools
• Establish and enforce security best practices including network segmentation, IAM policies, secrets management, and compliance standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, container problems, and deployment failures
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployment, performance, and resource utilization
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, Bash, or Go to improve operational efficiency
• Document infrastructure designs, runbooks, and operational procedures
• Mentor junior engineers and promote platform engineering best practices across teams

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles
• 2+ years of proven experience with Kubernetes (GKE and/or EKS) in production environments
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, Kustomize)
• Solid hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (GCP or AWS)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
• Strong understanding of containerization and container technologies (Docker, container registries)
• Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Go, or similar)
• Understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and networking concepts
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Cloud Monitoring, CloudWatch)
• Knowledge of container security and cloud security best practices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Fluent in English both oral and written 

Nice to have:

• Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification
• AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Professional certification
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Knowledge of GitOps practices and tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure Automation frameworks and tools
• Experience with data platform infrastructure and analytics tools
• Experience mentoring and leading junior engineers
