    Department and Project

    This position is within the Tolling Services team of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary. The team consists of IT professionals specializing in electronic road-charging solutions. Together with our partners, we develop and operate intelligent, kilometer-based tolling systems for international customers, covering the entire business process (vehicle registrations, country booking, providing On-Board Units, position data transmission, charge calculation, and fleet billing). Leveraging digital intelligence and advanced technology, our tolling solutions facilitate seamless mobility across Europe. The team aims to enhance existing services and expand into new domains. As part of an international team collaborating with T-Systems International, you will play a key role in supporting our customers with cutting-edge tolling solutions.

    Main tasks

    As a DevOps Engineer your job will be:

    • Operation of an extensive Red Hat OpenShift 4 environment (based on Kubernetes) for a large German client
    • Platform operations: updates, debugging, and maintenance of OpenShift and related tools (Grafana, Artifactory, GitLab, Prometheus)
    • Management of three staging environments and an internal test cluster
    • Helm Charts expertise required (most tools are installed/managed with Helm)
    • Use of GitLab CI/CD Runner for automation and deployments
    • Process-related tasks:
      • Creation and development of process documentation
      • Optimization and further development of process landscapes
    • System-related tasks:
      • Creation of system documentation
      • Participation in concept development (e.g., High Availability concepts)
    • Handling service requests via HPSM (Service Request Tool)
    • Execution of administrative OpenShift tasks
    • Updating and maintaining environments and platform tools
    • Operation of custom operators (developed in Python and Golang)
      • Example: distributing images across staging environments

    Qualifications

    Background and required skills:

    • Education/Experience: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT, or relevant work experience.
    • Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in teams.
    • Experience with OpenShift 4.x operations
    • Experience with Gitlab,
    • Experience with Gitlab CI/CD (implementation and deployment),
    • Experience with Helm Charts,
    • Experience with Linux/Red Hat Enterprise Linux
    • Desired Knowledge: Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Thanos – creating alerts, dashboards, and deployments
    • German language in written form

    Advantage:

    • Experience working in SAFe environment.
    • German language knowledge
    • Basic Python knowledge,
    • Basic knowledge of ITIL processes (Change/Incident)
    • Process automation,
    • Experience with building and automating infrastructures with Ansible
