Job Description

As a system architect, you are responsible for the conceptual development of IT systems. This includes leveraging synergies in data usage and driving forward the cloudification of applications. You will prepare and support architectural concepts and PoCs. Currently developed applications (Java/Kotlin, Spring, vue.js, AWS), will request your consultancy on software design and implementation of architectural guidelines. Fostering the retirement of legacy applications, you will align with stakeholders on functional and data mapping  to allow content migration.

  • Big-Data SIEM (Security Information Event Management) system for cyber defense and fraud management
  • high-availability systems for information of law enforcement authorities
  • AI/ML for traffic data anomaly detection
  • consultancy on architecture with development teams
  • Retirement of a low-code application

Qualifications

Skills (mandatory)

  • modern engineering and current architectural principles
  • interpretation of architectural guardrails and implementation into specific system concepts
  • interest or knowledge in big data systems (Cloudera Hadoop, Spark, Flink - all on premise)
  • architecture documentation
  • retirement: mapping of current system functionality and data structures onto those of target applications
  • English language

Helpful skills (optional)

  • experience in agile contexts and methodologies
  • TARDIS architecture (Telekom-owned framework) for decoupling and integration of data sources
  • architectures and services in GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Artificial intelligence / machine learning basics, focus on anomaly detection
  • German language is optional
