We are excited to announce a new job opportunity for a visionary Domain Architect in our Workplace Experience Domain. This role is pivotal in shaping and advancing the digital workplace services of Deutsche Telekom, with end-to-end responsibilities across the entire organization.

Workplace Experience is part of Deutsche Telekom IT with end-to-end responsibility for all services around the digital workplace, digital collaboration, Identity and Access Management and user support for employees of the Deutsche Telekom Group. The goal is to enable and enhance the users’ productivity and experience. Workplace Experience acts as product provider with a comprehensive, standardized product portfolio, offering products to all DT units globally.


Key Responsibilities and Challenges:

Our vision is to provide the best digital workplace experience possible for all DT employees. As Domain Architect, you will hold a critical position in making this vision a reality, steering the global overarching architecture, and designing the overall workplace experience. Among many other topics, your expertise will be instrumental in transitioning the current landscape to a Zero Trust architecture, shifting entirely to modern device management, ensuring seamless single sign-on across all services and completing the migration from a on-premises infrastructure to cloud solutions as well as overseeing the Identity and Access Management of IT in Deutsche Telekom.

This role involves extensive collaboration with service teams across the entire domain and different countries, guiding the architectural evolution. Your responsibilities will also include consulting with top management for alignment of service and product strategies, communicating concepts effectively, and securing buy-in from partners and colleagues.


Areas of expertise:

  • Driving the evolution of the overarching Workplace Experience architecture
  • Developing and continuously updating the Solution Architectural Runway
  • Conceptualizing WX Services with cutting-edge technologies
  • Ensuring that IT solutions are robust, integrable, and can be operated at benchmark costs
  • Leading initiatives in security and data privacy, including solution preparation and defining strategic guardrails
  • Aligning Identity and Access Management (IAM) architecture with other domains
  • Architecting and preparing target solutions for Multi-Tenant Organization (MTO)
  • Serving as the Architecture Interface for overarching Microsoft topics
  • Acting as Manager on Duty (MoD) for the Domain of Workplace Experience in case of major incidents
  • Managing key stakeholders and bringing about architectural decisions

Qualifications

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Proven expertise in Enterprise IT Architecture Management
  • Extensive experience in architectural work and familiarity with common architecture frameworks
  • In-depth knowledge of modern workplace technologies (digital workplaces, digital collaboration tools) and Identity and Access Management
  • Comprehensive knowledge in the Microsoft technologies of Windows 11, M365 and surrounding services
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on realistic targets and IT operation aspects
  • Experience in product strategy development and service retirements
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, presentation, and moderation skills
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and consulting abilities
  • Very good English language skills; German language skills beneficial
