Job Description

The Marketing Specialist supports the company by maintaining excellent audience engagement and education. They are responsible for driving our brand and social media strategy, doing competitive benchmarks, reporting industry trends, leading client engagement, strategic partnership event planning, conference research/planning, etc. in alignment with the company’s vision. This position will report directly to the CEO for direction and support.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • BS/BA in marketing, business, public relations, communications, graphic design, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of digital marketing experience with a focus on social media
  • Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation, and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Creative thinker with sensitivity for data visualization, branding, and/or graphics

Additional Desired Skills and Experience:                                               

 

  • Experience and/or interest in photography
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Working general knowledge of human factors, usability testing, ethnography, or the medical field
  • Proficiency in Adobe applications (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, additional beneficial)
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, conversion rate optimization and search engine optimization

Responsibilities:

Supports the creation of marketing content and executes our company marketing vision by:

  • Brainstorming and developing ideas for creative marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for new content and audience outreach
  • Create marketing calendars and schedules for cross-team collaboration and participation
  • Leading marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning, etc.)
  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform prioritization, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share continuous content (i.e., original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds trust and meaningful connections with our desired audiences and encourages them to act (e.g., sign up to be a participant, contact us to partner on a project, etc.)
  • Representing the voice of the company by moderating messages/comments and joining relevant conversations
  • Collect and analyze the appropriate metrics, insights, and best practices to optimize the company’s presence to shape future marketing strategies (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.)
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Liaise with external vendors and partnerships to execute promotional events and campaigns
