Job Description

Role
A human resource partner with an innovative Agency Network to build good relations with working people and management to promote and maintain a harmonious industrial relations climate. This role is specializing at Industrial Relations apart from general HR operations.

Your Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities are

  • To provide advice, counsel and resolution to managers on a broad range of employee’s issues including general HR issues, policy integration and interpretation, work conditions and employee development in compliance with the Labor Law;
  • To manage disciplinary issues and recommend appropriate disciplinary action including conducting domestic inquiry, draft show cause letter, and other related disciplinary letters/ actions;
  • To support resolution of employee relations issues and conducts investigation as necessary, not limiting to conduct a preliminary investigation, schedule the event, identify witnesses, collate information/data, identify panel members, prepare exhibits etc;
  • To identify and implement positive employee relations programs that will lead to a more efficient and motivated work force;
  • To establish good relationships with relevant industry players, legal practitioners and related government and non-governmental agencies;
  • To always keep abreast with the latest changes to HR legislation by authorities as well as latest judicial precedents on Industrial Relations dispute;
  • To Responsible for managing the hiring process (requisition, sourcing of candidates interview process to employment offer phase) and implementing various talent acquisitions initiatives in supporting our business needs;
  • To ensure the HR operations uninterrupted, ie. basic payroll function is being implemented timely and employees related information is kept current with all changes being captured and reflected in the HRIS or the necessary databases


Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years in a similar capacity with specialization in Industrial Relation matters.
  • Tertiary education with HR professional accreditation
  • Sound knowledge of the Malaysia's Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations 1967 is a pre-requisite, as well as other prevailing HR practices and legislation
  • Experienced in conducting domestic inquiry sessions and report writing; experienced in attending cases at court level is an added advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills, tactful with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, can handle multitasks and analyse beyond prima facie on issues.
  • Proactive and detailed.
