We are looking to add a Manager, Media Planner to our team based in Chicago, IL in the trendy River North neighborhood. Our client is headquartered here as well, therefore, you will have opportunities to meet in person not only with your team, but with the client as well. You will report to the VP, Media Planner, and you, yourself, will manage 1 direct report (a Senior Associate). You will help manage the daily tasks by assuring focus on important client goals and communicating appropriate resource needs to meet ongoing client goals. You will also get to demonstrate your working knowledge of the media space (both Traditional & Digital) and available media research and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of media channels and experience coordinating across multiple media disciplines
  • 2+ years of experience with upper funnel media awareness campaigns
  • Coordinate with creative agencies on creative assets and accounts needs
  • Coordinate with multi-channel teams to design modern, strategic and thoughtful integrated media plans across a myriad of awareness-based channels (Linear/ Streaming, Paid Search, Paid Social, Radio/ Audio, OOH/ DOOH, Programmatic, Print, Partnerships/ Sponsorships
  • Comfort overseeing and communicating directly with clients on questions and media plans
  • Experience with local media planning and understanding of the marketplace
  • Help evaluate timelines and manage daily deliverables
  • Experience w/ analyzing competitive landscapes, pulling reports using agency tools and compiling insights
  • Manage a large Media Budget and Flowchart
  • Guide media channel selection and forward think on new opportunities
  • Manage Sr. Associate - level team member on a daily basis

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of media planning experience
  • 2+ years of media planning in the TV, CTV, Social and digital landscape
  • 2+ years of experience with Media Ocean, DDS, Nielsen Ad Intel, Pathmatics, Media Tools, Web Analytics, Ad Servers, Media Research tools
  • Understanding of planning sponsorship campaigns on a national and local level
  • Experience promoting collaborative relationships with other teams
  • Comfortable working with budgets/numbers and an understanding of mathematical concepts
  • Experience facilitating growth and managing and/ or mentoring / training multiple team members

Desired, Not Required

  • Understanding of planning sponsorship campaigns on a local level
  • Experience Managing 1+ junior teammates
  • Experience with Sports and/ or any industry Partnerships and Sponsorships

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $62,400 - $83,375 Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
