Job Description
Are you a strategic thinker with a keen eye for the best approaches to social media? Are you intrigued by all things TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and more? If so, we are looking for a Social Media Marketing Specialist to join our Merkle social team to build social media strategies for our clients. You will partner with other social media strategists, influencer managers, and creatives to build the best social reporting, social listening analysis, and content to meet our client’s goals. Reporting to the Director of Social Media, you will collaborate with the Sr. Social Media Strategist and the social creative team to give strategic recommendations, perform social listening analysis, write creative briefs, create content and more for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform social listening analysis to understand the conversations happening around particular topics
- Perform social media, platform, and category research to inform strategies
- Create social media strategy playbooks to achieve client marketing goals, including channel and content strategies.
- Use data and cultural insights to write briefs and conduct briefings on at least one brand
- Produce content ideas independently and in group brainstorm settings
- Work and collaborate with the creative teams to nurture ideas and develop recommendations; be seen as a "go-to" person for creative teams
- Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and platform updates and use that information to inform client recommendations

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in in-house or agency setting.
- Previous social media management experience
- Experience with social media management software (Hootsuite, Sprout, Sprinklr, Khoros) and social listening software (Brandwatch)
- Proficiency in social media platform analytics
- Social listening experience
- Is attentive and interested in social media; express ideas
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000 - $83,375. Salary is based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
