Job Description

We are looking for a digital copywriter to write for the official site of the organization responsible for producing the nation's coinage. You will write about the history of coin production, current coin programs, and educational resources about the minting process. The site also offers a range of collectible coins and other products for purchase. You will focus on writing for email campaigns, paid media and website content. Are you a passionate wordsmith with a flair for creating compelling stories? Merkle is looking for a Copywriter to join our dynamic CX creative team. As part of a creative studio, you'll dive into a variety of projects and push the boundaries of creativity. If you value collaboration, innovation, and the thrill of seeing your words come to life across digital channels, we want to hear from you! You will report to a Group Creative Director.

Responsibilities

  • Write clear, original copy for digital channels, web, paid social, email, and sometimes long-form content, SEO, and video scripts.
  • Self-edit and revise copy in response to internal feedback and client feedback.
  • Work in partnership with Creative Directors, Strategists, Art Directors, and UX designers around the globe to develop concepts.
  • Participate in creative brainstorms, internal kickoff meetings, and client briefings.
  • Write and manage copy through the development stage to completion for every project, ensuring the copy resonates with the audience, elevates the experience, and follows the brief.
  • Learn and follow brand copy styles and guidelines.
  • Research and understand clients' products and services, target audiences, and competitors' activities.
  • Present concepts and copy to Creative Directors, account teams, and clients and describe the rationale for voice, tone, and writing decisions.
  • Follow and share current trends and best practices
  • Work remotely and be available during work hours.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen for this government client
  • 2+ years of experience in copywriting in an agency environment
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing or a related university program; in lieu of degree, equivalent experience in a relevant field required
  • Experienced in Figma
  • Portfolio of current copywriting experience

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000-$83,750. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
