Job Description

As the Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, you report to the Director of Commercial Finance. You will maintain our client financial relationships of multiple clients and act to support the finance leads for all financial deliverables to clients, including fee invoicing, reconciliations, and profitability analysis. The Senior Commercial Finance Analyst will work with the Planning and service teams (especially Client Accounting) to ensure financial elements of our client relationship are tracked, monitored, and communicated.

Job Location: Remote

The main responsibilities of the role are to support the Commercial Finance team through:

a. Prepare and assist with fee, media and production reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.  

b. Works with the business to analyse and build the forecasts, improve data capture and process and help create useful insight to share with the business.

c.  Monitor projects for proper revenue recognition.

d. Track revenue vs. budget and research variance drivers.

e.  Support the budget and reforecast process.

f. Manage intercompany revenue cross charges.     

g. Collaborate with teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals for clients.

h. Supports the business in their development of short, medium and long-term resourcing requirements.

i.  Support the efforts to prepare and produce all client financial deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant finance / accounting qualification.
  • Commercially minded with and able to identify issues and create solutions.
  • Interrogate and validate financial information.
  • Work to their own initiative.
  • Advanced Skills with excel.
  • Experience in media or advertising industry.

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $59,000 - $96,025. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
