Job Description

As a Group Account Director, you will be an integral member of the client services team and will play a key leadership role supporting our top priority clients and most profitable portfolios.  As the Group Account Director, you will represent and provide strong customer service, industry expertise and build and foster strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers. You will lead the strategic planning and tactical execution of new product launches, identify new business opportunities and manage the execution of multi-faceted marketing materials, You will be expected to leverage your experience and provide strategic insights and recommendations. Strong communication, problem-solving, organization and project management skills are a must for this role.

People management and experience overseeing direct reports in a core responsibility of the Group Product Director.Your focus will be to ensure the team delivers strategic insight, operational excellence, and superior customer service. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for both client and internal teams for all elements relative to your clients.
  • Ensure agency team is successful with execution of entire client engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level clients along with day-to-day client contacts. Build confidence and credibility among key client contacts. Stay connected with clients throughout all stages of engagement.
  • Work closely with Account Principal to lead the implementation of the account strategy.
  • Ensure all creative and media work aligns with client’s brand and overall marketing strategy.
  • Develop ongoing strategic recommendations that solve business objectives for your clients, above and beyond contracted client engagement.
  • Maintain deep understanding of your clients’ industry, consumer profiles and competitors.
  • Prepare and present strategies, media plans and creative concepts at client meetings.
  • Monitor account satisfaction, manage client account review and own client conflict resolution.
  • Educate clients on additional agency capabilities, identify cross-sell opportunities and initiate new projects for client.
  • Develop campaign/project proposals.
  • Supervise strategic development and implementation of client programs across all aspects of client work.
  • Consult with Creative Director on creative output and ensure alignment with strategic direction and client business goals.
  • Be an advocate for the agency and advise the client on the optimal amount of time needed to develop the best work possible.
  • Lead weekly client-facing status meetings.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager to manage existing client revenue goals and projections and manage individual client profitability.
  • Prep for existing and new client pitches.
  • Any other duties/responsibilities will be addressed as they arise and are needed.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Marketing and Advertising
  • 8+ years’ experience
  • Excellent presentation-building and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
  • Advertising Agency experience a must.
  • Team-oriented player and effective leader - ability to lead, inspire and collaborate with large cross-functional team. Willing to “roll up the sleeves” with a can-do attitude.
  • Must have experience managing direct reports.
  • A service-oriented mindset, focused on delivering high quality work, and always anticipating client and internal team needs.
