Job Description

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, this is a hybrid Commercial Finance and FP&A role. The role will work closely with business partners to utilize the latest analytical insights to make commercial, operational, financial, and strategic decisions.

This role will work collaboratively across all pillars of finance and within the client supporting business teams, to drive results and manage the achievement of KPIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting and Forecasting – Collaborate with Agency leadership team to support the development of the annual budget, quarterly re-forecasts and monthly flash financial forecasts
    • Work closely with Client Team leads to capture accurate revenue projections
    • Build business cases and scenario planning for salary budgets and resource requirements
    • Own forecast for Non-Staff OPEX, working with key business partners to support cost management and identifying potential cost mitigation levers
    • Support the creation of reporting packages to be presented to Senior Leaders
    • highlight trends, strategic advice to deliver budgets/forecasts
  • Support the month close process by working closely with Client Team and Controllership
  • Month end variance analysis – Own variance analysis commentary to be provided to Senior Finance as well as Regional FP&A Team
  • Understand business needs to improve results and reduce risks
  • Build analytical capability around revenue management, client profitability and margin optimization
  • Responsibility over forecasting process standardization and continuous improvement
  • Ad hoc business case and scenario planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. An interest in working towards a CPA designation would be an asset
  • 2+ years of experience in a Financial Analyst, FP&A Analyst or related role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical with a strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with various internal and external finance teams, client teams and other business partners
  • Financial acumen, with skills in understanding P&L statements and in executing business analytics to identify variances and trends.
