Job Description

Isobar Public Sector is seeking a Pipeline Architect SME. Successful candidates should have senior knowledge and hands-on experience in design, build, and running elastic, cost-effective, resilient, robust, and secure architectures in the cloud. In this role you will support Offensive Cyber Operations and deploying a DevSecOps platform in multiple cloud environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establish goals and plans that meet project objective.
  • Designs, build, and run elastic, cost-effective, resilient, robust, and secure architectures in the cloud using modern approaches like service-mesh and loosely coupled design.
  • Maintain, configure, and monitor containers using Infrastructure as Code principles in Development, Test, and Live environments.
  • Design and implement Network connectivity, Provisioning Strategy Assess and Design RBAC needs to Ensure Cloud foundation is strong and with needed compliance requirements.
  • Design containerized solutions for relational/non-relational databases, data auditing, caching, and performance. Work with other Architects on Security, Data protection, and Failover Failback strategies.
  • Create and maintain documentation for implementations.
  • Implement Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment using different CI/CD tools by container registries.

Who You Are

  • A US Citizen and possess an active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Reside in the San Antonio, TX area. Initial training at Lackland AFB with periodic on-site work thereafter.
  • 3 plus years of experience providing technical guidance to other engineers in an Agile environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with:
    • Creating CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI and GitLab
    • Runners or equivalent technologies
    • DevOps and Platform Engineering
    • Automation of build tools for modern programming
    • languages
    • Automated Tests implemented via pipelines
    • Package managers: Maven/Gradle/PyPi/npm
    • Cybersecurity vulnerability scanning (SAST and
    • DAST)
    • Microservice Architectures
    • NIST Risk Management Framework
  • Strong experience of how to use the following technologies to further development of DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines:
    • DoD DevSecOps Reference Architecture
    • Git/GitLab
    • ArgoCD
    • Ansible
    • Helm Charts
    • SOPS
    • SonarQube
    • Fortify
    • Twistlock, Trivy, or NeuVector
    • Cosign/Sigstore/Attestations
    • DoD PKI/PKE
  • B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering field and 7+ years of experience contributing on a technical team for a software or IT project.
  • 3+ years providing technical guidance to more junior team members.
  • 2+ years leading a technical team on a software or IT project with proven performance.
  • Must be certified in one or more of the following: CISSP, CASP+CE or CSSLP or able to obtain within 30 days.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with Platform One Big Bang is strongly preferred.
