Job Description

  • To be considered, you must be located in Honolulu, Hawaii.**

Reporting into the Regional Director, the Senior Manager, Event Management is an event specialist and local market expert who oversees the pre to post event responsibilities, from planning and preparation to execution and reporting. Event elements will often include staffing, product sampling, consumer engagement, asset transportation, POS coordination, and production.

  • You will work in close collaboration with cross business counterpoints and serve as client contact.
  • You will oversee direct reports, including ongoing recruitment, hiring and onboarding, and performance and financial management of part time and (if applicable) full-time employees.
  • You will follow standard operating procedures, policies, and protocols for issue resolution.
  • You will manage local warehousing with POS and special event assets, and ensure assets are available/operable for activations.
  • You will socialize success and opportunities with program recaps, using data and insights for real-time measurement and evaluation, event strategies and project plans/ volume phasing.
  • You will manage cross agency and in-market communications, and serve as a local contact for clients and partners.
  • You will approve and submit payroll and expenses for part-time and full-time employees.
  • You will process payments for invoices from vendor partners.
  • You will prepare and follow local market budgets.
  • You will manage activation schedules, event deliverables, run of show, and staffing/asset needs, such as staff specialists/Brand Ambassadors for sampling and special events through company staffing application, coordinate transportation and kit logistics of large event assets, manage and staff on site production of local elevated/experiential activations; use a creative eye to bring Brands to life, and audit events to ensure executional excellence and compliance with state sampling laws and local regulations.

Qualifications

  • 6 years minimum experience in event management
  • Budget management skills
  • Prior sampling event and production experience
  • Knowledge of wine and spirits industry
  • Experience sourcing candidates to guarantee a match to the position/organization
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite
  • Comfortable with the possibility of working on-call, and some nights and weekends when event activations are being implemented.
  • Travel is required within the assigned territories (schedule varies upon size of territory)

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $59,000-$96,025. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
