Job Description

As an integral part of the Client Operations and Delivery team, and Client Account, the Director of Operations is a discipline leader, responsible for maintaining cross-capability and cross-service line relationships, operational excellence, and implementation of best practices for a large automotive Client with Dentsu Creative. This role sits in the U.S.

Responsibilities include:

  • Be the expert in the operational specifics for the client business from a financial model, contractual and Global cross-service line resourcing standpoint in order to support those efforts and drive continued excellence on the business 
  • Global and cross-service line Client network collaboration and communication 
  • Oversee and help define the ways of working across Client work-streams and implement, maintain and evolve processes to ensure effectiveness and recognize efficiencies 
  • A dedicated partner to all teams to unify processes, toolsets, and systems across the business.  
  • Maximize team productivity across the Client business 
  • Ensure that everything is running well based on goals of the client, budget, and company standards and best practices 
  • Be seen as the operational lead for the Client business, leading the charge on implementing Dentsu Creative tools, standards and best practices across the account
  • Serve as connective tissue within the Client team globally in confirming that all service line and market teams have the tools and resources to be successful and follow the global model
  • Partner closely with the Senior Business Lead and VP Delivery & Implementation to ensure that their efforts and goals are supported operationally 
  • Team-wide compliance: Ensure the agency follows all compliance standards and completes trainings on time
  • Ownership of global network operations best practices to be used as a blueprint for other global accounts 
  • Client global resource planning and escalation lead
  • Provide business case for and implement technology solutions across network
  • Operational point of escalation for all Client team members within network, especially Project Management, reviewing weekly reports for client delivery and internal adaption/financials/project details
  • Ensure agency meets Client compliance
  • Work closely with the Client Finance, Account Management and Production departments to ensure the weekly tracking and management of budgets, and flag any necessary changes in scope to the client
  • Operational oversight as needed for Project Management team as they drive projects to completion within scope, budget and timeframe with an eye on profitability
  • Manage overall account health for their accounts and manage up any variances
  • Manage reconciliation data and process and any revenue and staffing trackers for the Client business in the U.S. and globally, cross-service line
  • Define, manage, and mitigate risks on operations of the global account, taking a proactive approach to solve any issues before they come up, or manage as they arise
  • Work alongside the Senior Business leads and the VP Delivery & Implementation to develop appropriate financial structure for new or existing high complexity project or campaigns (for both project and retainer models)
  • Support the VP Delivery & Implementation and PM team on Client to determine with great accuracy, financial forecasts and resource plans that map to those forecasts based on the agreed to scope of work 
  • Support the VP Delivery & Implementation and PM team to determine % completes for all projects - able to determine best course of action and recovery plans for at-risk projects
  • Prepare an Engagement model that tracks online and offline activities, all integration points including outside vendors’ with inputs from the VP Delivery & Implementation and PM team
  • Prepare financial rollups for monthly meetings with attention to project activity by account with inputs from the VP Delivery & Implementation and PM team
  • Prepare materials for write offs, investments, etc. with inputs from the VP Delivery & Implementation and PM team
  • Attend monthly financial meetings and actively participate in the reviews of annual/project staffing plans, with focus on assessment of current and projected resources
  • Assist in designing and evolving operational processes, best practices, success metrics and reporting for the Client business
  • Must live in EST to support client
  • Must be client facing

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience: 

  • 10-13 years’ experience (3-6 years in a leadership role) within the operations and/or project management disciplines within an integrated agency environment

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $94K-$146K. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
