Job Description

The Data Engineer candidate must be a dynamic contributor, passionate about platform integration automation and committed to making a difference in an organization filled with smart, creative people. The incumbent will be part of a team responsible for the development and support of various SaaS (Software as a Service) integration solutions (Microsoft Dynamics D365, Salesforce, Workday, Workfront, etc).  We seek a candidate experienced in integrating SaaS based solutions, data transformations, query / database optimization, and consuming web services applications using .Net and other iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) solutions. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Business Requirements to identify ETL requirements and design, develop and test complex integration solutions
  • Reverse engineer and understand complex integrations
  • Design and develop workflows in Snaplogic or other iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) solution a plus
  • Design, develop, and support .NET applications to consume web services from our cloud systems
  • Working proficiency with Object Oriented Development in C#
  • Strong ETL proficiency using MS SQL Server
  • Develop and maintain data mappings between source and destination data stores
  • Document project specific processes and data flows, data dependencies, data definitions and relevant business rules. Establish data dictionaries to support the buildout of a data governance infrastructure
  • Must demonstrate strong problem-solving ability, logic and analytical skills
  • Participate in data modelling initiatives
  • Perform quality assurance and testing at the unit level
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaborative with other team members
  • Troubleshoots production issues, identifying root cause and implementing sound technical resolutions in a timely manner

Qualifications

Experience: 

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Over 5 years of experience in Data warehousing and Business Intelligence 
  • Strong experience using ADF for data warehousing 
  • Integration tool experience in SSIS, SnapLogic, Nintex, etc.
  • B.A./B.S. degree (or comparable knowledge) in computer science (or a related field)
  • Hands on experience developing and maintain integrations between cloud based services
  • 5-10+ years experience C# development
  • Experience of different WebAPI protocols including but not limited to SFTP, FTS, HTTP/HTTPS, Web Services, REST endpoints, and other APIs
  • Working in a complex matrixed, international, and cross-cultural organization
  • Broad technical expertise combined with strong leadership and communication capabilities to drive innovation and change
  • Integration experience with financial, sales, and HRIS platforms including D365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workfront, and/or Workday a plus

Other key Competencies:

  • Strong communications skills and ability to turn business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience in developing data lakes and data warehouses using Microsoft Azure
  • Strong database design skills, including an understanding of both normalized form and dimensional form databases.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of data-warehousing strategies and techniques e.g., Kimble Data warehousing 
  • Experience in Cloud based data integration tools like Azure Data Factory 
  • Experience in Azure Dev Ops or JIRA is a plus
  • Familiarity with agile development techniques and objectives

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,000-146K. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
