The Canadian Trading Team is responsible for maintaining and growing diversified income across the Canadian market and collaborating with regional colleagues across North America. Commercial Partnerships own the discovery, negotiation, and activation of partnerships with the supply-side as well as enablement for internal teams to utilize these partnerships for the benefit of our clients. We make these partnerships available to our clients in three ways: through Agyle, our principal-trading value platform, and through Amplifi, our media ‘value for all’ platform.

Job Description

The Manager, Agyle will work with the VP, Commercial Partnerships and NA colleagues to source, negotiate, and drive fulfillment of a range of partnerships with the supply-side, working collaboratively with the investment team to deliver on financial targets set for the program. As part of the supply-side interaction, opportunities to develop new product via co-creation should be part of the objective. The Manager is expected to have a strong working knowledge of the media space and tools, as well as the finance and compliance processes inherent in a media buying business. 

  • Manage and the deliver the Canada media income budget target for our Agyle program
  • Work with the VP to scale and launch the Agyle product family in Canada (working with NA product leads)
  • Identifies, negotiates, and deliver Agyle partnerships with existing and new partners
  • Works with the President, Amplifi Canada and VP, Commercial to drive a culture of opt-in and participation in Agyle opportunities
  • Work with VP, Commercial to analyze data and understand market and client patterns to generate strategic revenue opportunities
  • Recognizes the general media landscape, including leading and emerging media channels/partners
  • Collaborates with investment team to deliver client-driven work through Agyle inventory utilization
  • Oversees the financial tracking and reporting of deal utilization
  • Employ best practice supply-side management as well as compliance and ethics standards
  •  Become the ambassador for Agyle partnerships, and any other products within the group
  • Ensure that feedback from teams is addressed in partner select and negotiation process
  • Looks to identify opportunities to maintain a scalable inventory pipeline with new and existing partners
  • Serve as a collaborative resource for Investment teams
  • Participate and present in New Business efforts and presentations, where appropriate
  • Establish strong internal relationships with other service line personnel 
  • Provide guidance to team members across functions and promote team environment

  • Proactively solicits and delivers innovative ideas
  • Express oneself clearly and concisely in oral communications
  • Organize ideas and information logically and sequentially
  • Develop applicable presentation materials that are clear, compelling, and persuasive 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of analytical experience within media environment (sales or agency) Strong negotiator and advanced numeracy skills
  • Ability to articulate strategic foundation for their development
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and standards-based approach to management 
  • Proven leadership skills and management experience
