Job Description

This position serves as a lead support across Dentsu Creative New Business team, working closely with other disciplines in delivering and exceeding client expectations. This position is responsible for bringing our new Business vision to life by partnering with subject matter experts to deliver a clear response to RFPs, leading pitch teams in the development of pitch assignment work, partnering with department leads to bring our agency’s ‘best thinking’ in pitches, working with design teams to elevate our work and being accountable for accurate reporting of pitches to internal stakeholders.

We are looking for a self-starter to lead New Business initiatives, working closely with senior leadership, to ensure all aspects of the pitch process run efficiently and smoothly. In this role, you will be required to work across all disciplines within the agency, managing multiple timelines, client expectations, and will be responsible for communicating changes/directions to internal team members.
 

Position Responsibilities

In summary the role involves the following core responsibilities:

• The role of the New Business Manager is to partner with other members of the Business Development team to assist in running of US new business pitches

• Contribute to development and elevation of the pitch content to ensure a compelling, bold, and memorable story

• Add strategic value at each stage of the pitch process

• Foster collaborative relationships across agency and practices to ensure a consistent strategy is deployed on pitches

• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for organizing process and people

• Responsible for all internal pitch document design briefings, and activating and owning the pitch delivery plan alongside design lead

• Closely collaborate with pitch leadership to ensure a consistent, winning strategy is deployed across all pitches

• Ensure accountability across key pitch stakeholders to meet deadlines and deliverables

• Guide and execute pitch coordination – timelines, checkpoints, deliverables, design and pitch theater/production needs

• Managing client objectives, expectations and timelines and communicating changes/directions to internal team members

• Developing the budget and timeline for a project, and managing deliverables and resources against the project plan

• Manage & organize all aspects of the pitch process from writing responses to RFIs/RFPs, internal meetings, presentation development/logistics

• Build an outstanding command of the agency’s work and results via case studies

• Serve as lead support for RFP and pitch deck development; ability to manage multiple content streams simultaneously, excellent writing

• Manage new business budgets

Qualifications

• 2-4 years business development experience for a production agency, advertising agency or similar company

• Self-starter who is curious and proactively thinks around corners

• Experience with writing & executing RFPs/RFIs responses

• Ability to perform in a fast paced and changing environment, under pressure to deadline

• Proven ability to guide cross-functional teams to a common vision

• Confident leader in group settings and with executive leadership - setting expectations and flagging potential issues before they happen

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $63,440 - $91,900. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
