Job Description

MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for an ambitious Associate, Sponsorship Consulting to join our team to work across one of our most exciting accounts. This is an amazingly diverse role, and we want someone who will play a vital role in assisting the team in the development and execution of partnership activations, athlete management, and oversight of official partnerships while maintaining excellent communication and servicing to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of client partnerships
  • Assist in the development of creative ideas, undertaking research as requested and ensuring ideas are possible to implement within specific parameters and budget
  • Manage planning and execution of marketing campaigns and events from top to bottom, including identifying contractors, negotiating contracts, and supervising onsite personnel/brand ambassadors
  • Collaborate with senior management to execute official partnerships/relationships, selecting the best available assets available to the client
  • Strategize with clients to ensure athlete relationships and contracts are professionally managed/executed
  • Compile reports to send to client contacts
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of the sponsorship/marketing industry
  • Frequent travel is required, including weekends and occasional holidays

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role (agency, brand, or rights holder side)
  • Familiarity with NASCAR, Olympic/Paralympic and/or OEM space is a plus
  • Self-starter, focused, self-motivated and ambitious
  • Strong understanding of the social & digital landscape, including but not limited to audience insights, trends, and analytics/reporting
  • Comfortable with finance, spreadsheets, and numbers
  • Ability to effectively speak/present in public
  • Engages in good decision-making and maintains composure under pressure
  • Culturally aware
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Show potential in developing compelling presentations and communications plans
  • Strives to increase industry knowledge, able to self-educate to be ahead of the curve
  • Has uncompromised ethics, integrity, and discretion with company and client information
