Job Description

The Senior Manager, Communications Planning will partner with the Associate Director and Director to set the strategic tone for the assigned accounts and will oversee up to 3 levels on the team; teaching, managing and delegating across those levels. As the Senior Manager, you will ensure that communications strategies are translated into plans, lead the implementation of those plans, and help create presentations while working with internal/external teams on important client-facing content.

  • Interpret the brief and bubble up insights from the team's research and application of Designing for People and use of media planning tools
  • Mentor junior levels by communicating project details and coordinating team workload, and provide ongoing, constructive feedback
  • Build templatized documents for use across integrated teams
  • Improve the efficiency of ongoing deliverables across the team and review all deliverables before delivery to the client
  • Work with analytics team on requirements and deliverables through the planning process
  • Guide communication between your team and the internal client contact

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years communications/media planning experience
  • Experience in traditional marketing and current knowledge of trends and innovations in traditional and digital media
  • Experience creating and selling media programs
  • Balanced ability to perform analytically and creatively
  • Experience with online research/audience/competitive tools such as Nielsen, @Plan, Comscore, AdRelevance, M1/Merkle, CCS, MRI/Simmons, Mintel, Kantar, Competitrak, Ad Intel, Pathmatics
  • Working knowledge of organizational and media tools: SharePoint and Shared Drive, Microsoft Teams, Mediatools, Lumina, Microsoft Excel, M1 Suite, Prisma
  • Proven leadership skills and management experience

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68-$106k. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
