Reporting to the Director of Digital & User Experience, the Lead Developer will deliver new and enhanced bespoke application solutions to meet business requirements and provide technical guidance and support to other team members.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with UX/UI and creative teams to implement technical solutions based on approved copy and creative
• Develop landing pages, microsites, website CMS solutions, email campaigns and applications
• Lead the technical delivery of assigned bespoke application solutions to the business within agreed budget and timescales
• Contribute to pro-active continuous improvements to ensure performance, scalability, capacity, security, supportability and maintainability is maintained for all in-house bespoke applications
• Ensure that technical documentation is created and maintained for all assigned developed applications
• Contribute to the definition, implementation and management of the continuous integration / deployment process, development standards and development methodology to ensure optimal delivery performance and quality
• Provide technical guidance to other development team members
• Ensure that assigned application development deliverables achieve the agreed coding standards, application architectural design and quality levels
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of the applications development standards, tools, approach and methodology

• 5-7 years of experience in a similar role
• Agency experience is an asset
• Well-versed in developing for web (responsive and accessible development practices)
• Extremely proficient in HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Fluent in PHP, additional coding languages are a plus
• Familiar with email marketing platforms like Mailchimp and Cheetah Mail
• Exceptional project portfolio highlighting a breadth of digital projects
• Ability to use Figma, Sketch and Adobe suite to gather assets, technical needs and design guidance
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with competing priorities and tight deadlines
• A competitive drive and passion for all things digital
