Job Description

The purpose of this role is to manage multiple SEO teams that support day-to-day strategy needs on a single account or group of accounts – guiding key business reviews, presentations, selling narratives, strategic POVs and go-to market plans.

  • Work with other leadership to support the department vision and goals
  • Drive improvement on vendor relationships
  • Support innovation that evolves SEO deliverables and methodologies that create best in class SEO deliverables and guidance for clients
  • Ability to lead large teams and support the culture developed by the group.
  • Cultivate SEO talent and groom rising stars
  • Support Sr. level relationships on key brands in SEO portfolios and client service centers of dentsu
  • Build strong relationships with Account Management Leads to sell in our SEO value
  • Very strong analytical mind and ability communicate how SEO data impacts the bottom line for businesses
  • Strong understanding of web content, research methods and the ability to prioritize initiatives for a brand’s visibility
  • Excellent technical knowledge of websites, platforms and tech that major brands use, including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and other common platforms
  • Overall excellent understand of the web, search engines, and industry to drive thought leadership and guidance to clients
  • Work with both the account management and SEO teams to bring strategies and corresponding ideas to life
  • Be a leader and advocate for SEO strategy within your portfolio and client teams, but also across the larger agency – and even dentsu media as a whole

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have over 8-years’ experience in the SEO industry, managing large teams, and optimizations for complex websites.

  • 5+ years’ experience at a management or supervisory position
  • Proven success generating positive, effective SEO strategies
  • Proven client relationship and leadership skills
  • Strong business, marketing, and consumer understanding; interest in what moves culture and current trends that impact organic search engine marketing
  • Understanding of all media channels and disciplines with the ability to develop SEO ideas and strategies that are holistic
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to lead and influence others across many disciplines both verbally and in concise presentations
  • Proven ability to work in a very fast-paced team environment as well as with ambiguity as we are building a new communications planning practice
  • Experience with large website migrations and planning to ensure organic search remains stable through major technology transitions.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, Server-Side technology, CSS, JavaScript, and other media technologies
  • Experience integrating SEO into other marketing / advertising channels (paid search).
  • Advanced knowledge of Search Engine’s platforms and third-party tools
  • Advanced web analytics experience
  • Understanding of how to achieve business goals through SEO traffic driving.
  • Well-honed communication skills with senior audiences
  • Exceptional people management skills
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations to solve client challenges
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
