Job Description

Managing the tools, processes and systems on specific account(s) to ensure account(s) is operating in the most efficient and profitable manner. The Associate Director, Business Operations direct will have a direct reporting line to Business Operations Director.

The Associate Director, Business Operations will have day-to-day responsibility for supporting the account and Business Operations Director in managing relationships with internal and external media teams, tools, processes and systems on specific account(s) to ensure account(s) is operating in the most efficient and profitable manner. He or she is expected to have strong working knowledge of the media space (all channels including digital media) including standard planning and billing tools like Workhorse (Media Tools), Prisma and DDS/MediaOcean. Business Operations Associate Director will ensure all deliverables internal and client facing are executed according to plan and agreed timelines.

Client & Internal Relationships:
•    Manage relationships with client in-house media teams
•    Manage relationships with internal planning, activation, and agency teams 
•    Ensure expectations are set, understood and met for all key deliverables – internal and Client 
•    Create, own and manage the account schedule – dates and gates

Identification and implementation of agency Best Practices
•    Supporting Business Operations Director in implementation of best practices for the account – systems, processes, business requirements
•    Facilitate training and account team utilization of standard tools (Planning/Buying)
•    Support development and ensure adherence to the defined Account Operating Manual 
•    Ensure Client deliverables/requirements are understood and adhered to for all team members
•    Support defined strategies for sustained operational excellence across the account(s)
•    Participate in cross discipline status meetings to ensure alignment to objectives/goals

Strategic Thinking & Leadership:
•    Grow and develop Sr. Managers—professional development 
•    Work closely and calibrate with Business Ops leadership to ensure processes, skillsets, and approach are developed and deployed consistently across the portfolio
•    Propagate a Continuous Improvement methodology
•    Support agency standardization and automation efforts for the account
•    Demonstrate advanced business skills in a proactive, decisive and logical manner
•    Proactively resolve issues, know when and to whom to escalate
•    Construct and deliver accurate, honest and timely performance management documents
•    Manage multiple deliverables and seamlessly transition among them

Account Execution:
•    Oversee the development and maintenance of account budgets, monthly reconciliation and phasing reports
•    Work in conjunction with Finance Operations team on billing and invoicing to maintain consistent accuracy and client reporting

Communications Skills: 
•    Express oneself clearly and concisely in oral communications
•    Write in a clear, compelling and concise manner
•    Organize ideas and information logically and sequentially
•    Assist in development of media presentations and tactical POVs 
•    Ensure key information is provided to team regarding client issues, internal agency issues, etc.
 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    Direct team management experience 
•    6+ years media experience
•    Solid understanding of media process from start to end (plan, execution, buying, asset needs, billing and reconciliation)
•    Thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment; adapt plans due to changes in client objectives, priorities or budgets while minimizing impact on project momentum
•    Strong analytical skills, ability to relate results to client business objectives
•    Balanced ability to perform analytically and creatively
•    Experience with online research tools such as Nielsen, Telmar, Scarborough, etc.
•    Advanced computer skills (MS Excel (highest priority), Word, PowerPoint)

Additional Information

For individuals assigned to and/or hired in Colorado, the anticipated salary range for this position is $112,000-$115,000, which is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other job-related qualifications. Pay ranges in locations other than Colorado may differ based on labor market wage rates in those locations.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
