Company Description

The Dentsu International Media Platforms team is responsible for the Media Agency Supply Chain.  This includes third party and/or proprietary Planning, Buying, and Financial applications, tools, and resources which support the daily business operations of the dentsu network of media agencies (e.g. Carat, iProspect, dentsuX).   Our primary focus is to ensure the media supply chain runs as efficient as possible as well as to discover ways of optimizing business processes by implementing the right tools to help manage DAN’s growing business.

We are a group of media technology experts looking to add to our growing team, responsible for supporting critical Media Systems such as Mediaocean, Lumina, SQAD MediaTools, Hudson MX and other industry or proprietary solutions.  The Manager, Media Platforms will serve as an in-house expert on these solutions; perform needs analysis and identify system and workflow requirements and gaps; project manage implementations of new solutions; coordinate support and training with vendors; manage interfaces between these and other systems; and ensure effective use of these solutions.

This is a highly visible role and interacts with staff at all levels including C-Level Executives within the organization as well as external vendors.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that has excellent communication skills, robust project management experience, and have experience with media planning, buying, and bill/pay processes and tools from an agency perspective.  We are looking for someone that is passionate about delivering solutions & uncovering opportunities for efficiencies within the media supply chain. 

Job Description

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT:

  • MUST have 5+ years Media Systems experience or related technologies (e.g., Mediaocean, Prisma, etc.), preferably in a Senior Support role at a media agency.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation of dentsu Media Platforms solutions (bespoke and 3rd party) and integration with other systems.
  • Conduct regular assessments of effective usage of systems and identify & document potential gaps, areas for process improvement.
  • Own Product Roadmap of 3rd party or proprietary tools in an effort to ensure that systems are meeting the needs of the business. 
  • Conduct regular reviews of open enhancements and advocate for our main stakeholders
  • Have an awareness of available tools in the market and provide leadership and expertise in evaluating/assessing new and/or alternative solutions.
  • Develop process maps that outline interconnectivity between systems and processes
  • Evaluate capacity to build proprietary tools

CLIENT SERVICE:

  • Represent Media Platforms team as part of new business transitions & client on-boarding
  • Develop positive relationships with 3rd party system providers.  Conduct regular status meetings with provider and user representatives.
  • Proactively gather system feedback and have strong, regular communication w/stakeholders
  • Escalate issues to systems provider & handle sensitive/urgent challenges
  • Build strong relationships and be seen as the key-resource to internal Account teams, Operations or Business Unit leads.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and problem solve issues related to respective platforms
  • Capable of serving as a dentsu ambassador and demonstrate grace in challenging internal/external scenarios.
  • Develop and present reports and presentations that are clear, compelling and persuasive.

PROJECT DELIVERY:

  • Project manage the implementation of various Media Platforms and other initiatives.
  • Provide leadership in identifying, managing, and mitigating change and related risk due to implementations.
  • Develop Current State vs Future State mapping documentation resulting from changes in systems and/or workflow.
  • Plan and Manage efforts related to systems integrations between 3rd party tools and other proprietary platforms.
  • Ensure the successful deployment of dentsu Media Platforms as a key step in M&A activity.

SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATION:

  • Manage the implementation, integration and support of new solutions or modules as they become available. Provide in-house Support for these solutions.
  • Configure systems and onboard/enable new modules
  • Develop user documentation/best practices & related material
  • Coordinate support and training with systems providers.
  • Explain Differences in Current/Future State

CUSTOMER SUPPORT:

  • Provide tier 2 systems support  
  • Manage interfaces between Media Systems and/or other internal systems.
  • Manage writers and data extracts to feed reporting platforms and other applications.
  • Manage systems upgrades or rollout of enhancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Expert knowledge of traditional and digital media planning, buying, and bill/pay processes.
  • 5+ years Media Systems experience or related technologies (e.g., Mediaocean, Prisma, etc.), preferably in a Senior Support role at a media agency.
  • 2-3 years Project Management experience. Capable of independently managing projects of appropriate scale. PMP certification a plus.
  • Clear & concise oral & written communications.  You may be required to conduct end user training or influence senior stakeholders via your communication approach.
  • Self-starter with capability to prioritize work based on agency needs
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (Office 365, Teams,, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
  • A team player with a demonstrated strong eye/attention to detail.
