Job Description

MKTG is looking for a hospitality-minded Associate to join our customer entertainment HOSPITALITY team in Charlotte, NC who can develop and execute high-quality corporate hospitality events (in-person, virtually and hybrid models), with a primary focus on sports, entertainment, and multicultural programming. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and inspired person who can implement corporate events that enhance our client/guest experience.

You will:

  • Apply strategic marketing goals to event development and execution
  • Work with properties, venues and suppliers to achieve first-class experiences for guests
  • Implement site surveys
  • Prepare and manage detailed, line-item budgets
  • Coordinate plans for event branding, collateral, on-site materials
  • Negotiate and secure suppliers/venues based on client/event criteria
  • Plan food and beverage and other on-site amenities/experiences
  • Manage corporate hospitality events (in-person, virtual and hybrid), with a primary focus of sports, entertainment, and multicultural programming
  • Create client-ready documents such as: event recaps, event itineraries, staff plans
  • Conduct client conference calls and meetings with prepared documents/presentations
  • Manage and communicate project status with manager, internal team and clients
  • Identify opportunities for business growth
  • Evaluate and document event successes and areas for improvement

Qualifications

You have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience developing high-level corporate events and hospitality
  • Experience in the sports, entertainment, meeting planning and/or multicultural programming related spaces
  • Proficient in budget management and planning
  • Managed program components and worked with client and/or other agency partners to deliver events
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe creative programs or guest registration systems
  • Experience building presentations and delivering them
  • Creativity and interest in trends in hospitality and events
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours and travel frequently, both weekdays and weekends (12-16 event weekends annually)
  • Experience with virtual event platforms and virtual event execution (not required but a plus)
