Job Description

This position is essential to the day-to-day running of Digital Business Operations at Amplifi US, the investment group of dentsu. The AD is the go-to subject matter expert on dentsu’s media Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) for direct to publisher (non-programmatic) digital media buys. The role is crucial to the overall contracts management process. The AD is responsible for the management and maintenance of dentsu digital media T&Cs, ongoing communication with media publishers about required adjustments to the terms, incorporating client-specific requirements, day to day engagement with media activation teams to develop, adjust, review, modify and help negotiate custom terms or vendor agreements pertaining to specific activations, as well as working closely with dentsu’s legal team on adjusting relevant provisions. The AD is also responsible for coordinating with the legal team to identify gaps and propose solutions as needed. Additionally, the AD works closely with the SVP in assisting with the negotiation and ongoing management and maintenance of ad tech MSAs. 

 

This individual contributor role requires a candidate who enjoys is a self-starter, who works well in a team-based, fast paced, detail-oriented environment. The successful candidate is resourceful, demonstrates the initiative to problem solve, willing to take ownership and demonstrates bias for action. 

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

Digital Operations/Terms & Conditions Management: 

  • Review and redline client or vendor-initiated terms and conditions
  • Discuss proposed changes and recommendations with media teams, vendors, ad operations and legal, and coordinate responses
  • Review and negotiate terms with vendors
  • Oversee and manage ongoing communication between media activation teams, investment, legal, and vendors 
  • Develop and maintain a library of agency and client-specific terms
  • Manage terms within the agency Prisma and Hudson MX systems
  • Identify areas of improvement to drive efficiency

 

Client & Internal Relationships: 

  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders within the media activation, digital investment, and legal teams and with vendors 
  • Engage with all contacts in a professional & respectful manner 
  • Possess mature and professional business acumen in personal and written communications 
  • Develop consistent and clear reporting of team activity for all levels of management
  • Address questions and provide recommendations to the media teams 
  • Provide ongoing T&Cs training to the media teams 
  • Support the team on additional digital business operations tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing terms and conditions
  • Working understanding of the digital vendor eco-system is required (digital vendors, publishers, walled gardens, social media platforms, ad servers, ad verification tech) 
  • Understanding of digital media buying and negotiation process
  • Law degree and/or paralegal experience is preferred 
  • General comfort with term and condition procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically legal tools 
  • Track record of success in a highly matrixed organization
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Effective time management skills 
  • Strong problem-solving skills
