Job Description

We are looking for a passionate certified Social Media Analyst or 'Junior Reporting Analyst' to join our growing team! The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. The perfect candidate will live and breathe data, with a passion in finding patterns and correlation in the tiniest places and will have bright ideas of how to turn those correlations into insights for our client.  

This person will become a right hand for the Lead Reporting Analyst on a social media monitoring project for a client in the regulated industry. They will monitor public conversation around brands and competitors to tag and clean data, and provide support and guidance for language insights analysts. They will also optimize search queries, suggest improvements, support with ad-hoc client requests.  If you are self-driven, data-oriented, and a social media analyst, we want to talk to you!

Junior Reporting Analyst responsibilities include: 

  • Acquire and interpret data from client provided social media management tools and identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. 
  • Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. 
  • Gathering, cleaning, tagging data and developing smarter and more accurate taxonomies on an ongoing basis.  
  • Optimizing search queries on an ongoing basis to support client social listening needs.  
  • Supporting the Lead Reporting Analyst  
  • Respond quickly and nimbly to ad hoc client requests and be ever involved in the nature of the brand and the audiences we monitor. 
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs. 
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities. 

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience in social listening and analytics (2-4 years) 
  • Highly well versed in Sprinklr (huge bonus) or other social listening tools like Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Netbase etc.  
  • Must have Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts; be a regular user on them; and be knowledgeable of other social media and data sites to include Snapchat, Tik Tok, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Technical expertise regarding social media management tools 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Adept at Boolean query writing, report writing and presenting findings. 
  • Strong usage of Microsoft Suite and comfortable in a virtual office environment. 
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, monitor, and respond to changes quickly.
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Background in mathematics, data science, marketing, communication, or econometrics would be desirable. 
  • Proficiency in business level English (spoken and written) is a requirement, bilingual in any additional languages (Japanese, Slovak, Czech, Korean, Russian) is a plus! 
  • EMEA Time zone is highly desirable.
