Job Description

At MKTG, the Innovation & Technology discipline tackles some of the most challenging problems the agency faces – keeping the us at the forefront of experiential technology while building out agency BI solutions to maximize the impact of our ideas and broaden our revenue opportunities. The senior solutions architect will be a leading catalyst for delivering these solutions for our largest client, Diageo, where MKTG has created a robust suite of technology solutions to support a vast experiential program with extensions across multiple engagement channels.

Be it leading the definition and development of next generation technology to unlock new consumer engagement opportunities, or collaborating with fellow MKTG innovation and technology teammates in identifying the intuitive expansions of the current MKTG product, you will own the up-front business analysis’, the development of solution hypothesis’, the technology concept, lead the pitch and sell-thru, and ultimately the creation of whatever it is that we’ve deemed right to solve the problem we’ve found.

This is a detailed-oriented, client-partner role that requires superior multi-tasking and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively within challenging situations. You will be the ears of the agency, listening to our client challenges, and bringing big (and feasible) ideas to the table. While you will be leaning on a team of full-stack developers to bring solutions to life, your experience allows you to roll your sleeves up to develop functional prototypes to help convey solutions to our clients and constituents in order to make the case.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Further define and expand our existing BI solutions for our largest client, taking an already powerful ecosystem of tools into the future.
  • Partner and actively collaborate with MKTG & client leadership, conducting problem-finding inquiries and business analysis in order to define areas of need where technology, new processes, or new skillsets to set the business up for future growth and success.
  • Participate in and lead discovery sessions with client and internal MKTG teams, along with any curated technology partners, with a focus on developing integrated solutions that provide positive business impact.
  • Guide identification and assignment of strategic technology partners, working lock-step with project management and production on scoping, staffing, and reporting utilization throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resolve conflicts through creative problem-solving with acute decision-making skills that keep project members motivated to overcome high-pressure situations, while ensuring the best possible results.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Innovation & Technology as a lead integrator within the agency; expanding Denstu partnerships and relatable technologies that can provide a positive impact to the MKTG day to day business.
  • Continue to assess, manage, and optimize strategic partner relationships.
  • As a biproduct of your collaborative efforts, drive an increase in revenue for the agency, and growth of the innovation & technology discipline.
  • Own the creation, dissemination and refinement of critical project documentation that affect product scope, budget and timeline, such as: SOWs, feature lists, business requirements, functional requirements, technical architecture, client acceptance criteria, work-back schedules, gantt charts, critical path timelines, partner/vendor briefs, etc.
  • Monitor and report project progress, keeping an eye to budget, timing, and accuracy of product to pre-determined scope.
  • Maintain and track all relevant high-level project documents such as signed deliverables, project finances, project status to management and clients.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering & technical product management within brand, agency, and/or start-up environments, managing multi-disciplinary teams of 10+ people to deliver products on time and budget.
  • Cloud solution architect certification from AWS, GCP, or Azure is a must.
  • Proven track record of developing long-term relationships with client stakeholders through collaboration, building trust through successful delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience directing complex technology projects, focused on predictive analytics, workflow optimization, and automation.
  • Expertise in financial analysis, data management and cloud-based implementations.
  • Superior writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in successfully negotiating and managing client expectations.
  • Possess excellent analytical and skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
