The Role

The Finance Operations Director is the leader of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams for Merkle UK. The Finance Operations is one of the 3 areas in the Control area next to Controlling and Finance Systems and reports to the Finance Vice President, head of Finance Control and Operations. 

The role has 2 direct reports (Head of AP and Head of AR) with a total team of 11 people based in the UK and Spain. The team manage the operations for several entities in the UK and Spain with a net revenue of over £95m.  

The Finance Ops Director has a critical role in increasing internal control for all entities and for being a key player in the new Financial systems adoption. 

Life as a Finance Operations Director at Merkle 

• You lead the Finance Operations Team that oversees AP and AR for Merkle UK with a net revenue over £95m. Your team is located between the UK and Spain. You support, coach the team and help in their professional development. 

• You are in charge of coordinating the audits. 

• You drive a continuous improvement plan to continue being operationally excellent 

• You lead all internal control improvements required.  

• You help lead the integration into Dentsu as well as other key projects in Merkle. 

What we are looking for in you 

• 8+ years of strong finance experience (Audit, controlling, etc) 

• Strong Audit knowledge 

• Strong Internal control / SOX knowledge 

• Strong IFRS and Tax knowledge 

• Reporting experience 

• Good team and change management experience 

• Microsoft D365 or Navision knowledge is a plus 

• Media management experience is a plus
