Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Pre-Sales / Field Application Engineer to support our Data Center Solutions business. This role acts as a key technical interface between customers, partners, and the sales organization, contributing directly to the success of strategic and mission-critical projects.

You will play a central role during the pre-sales phase, designing and validating technical solutions for large Data Center opportunities, supporting tenders, and ensuring the feasibility, reliability, and competitiveness of proposed architectures.

 

🔧 What You Will Do

Pre-Sales & Solution Design

  • Provide technical pre-sales support for Data Center projects, RFQs, and tenders.
  • Design and validate UPS-based power solutions and related Data Center architectures.
  • Support sales teams with technical presentations, proposals, compliance matrices, and technical clarifications.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers, consultants, EPCs, and partners.

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Interface with end users, consulting engineers, and channel partners to gather requirements and propose optimized technical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance to partners on TPS and TDC products and solutions.
  • Deliver technical training sessions to customers and partners.

Project & Field Support

  • Provide on-site technical support during key project phases such as installation, commissioning, and FAT/SAT activities.
  • Support complex troubleshooting in coordination with service and engineering teams.
  • Perform simulations, testing, and failure analysis in laboratory environments when required.

Documentation & Engineering Support

  • Contribute to technical documentation such as service scopes, installation and commissioning guidelines, and spare parts lists.
  • Support system configuration using standard modules and assemblies.
  • Assist in defining maintenance concepts and lifecycle service approaches.

Product & Continuous Improvement

  • Support prototyping activities, internal validation tests, and product customization.
  • Provide structured feedback reports from customer visits and projects to improve products and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge about Data Center ecosystem and applications.
  • Minimum five years’ experience working directly in the Spanish market.
  • Knowledge about UPS´s systems and solutions.
  • Technical degrees (industrial engineering, electronic engineering, material engineering etc.).
  • Experience in commissioning and project management will be desirable.
  • Knowledge of cooling technologies for Data Centers is a plus.
  • Sales orientation and end to end knowledge of solution selling process.
  • Strong experience on maintaining relationships with big accounts.
  • Strong interpersonal communication with a team-oriented approach. Comfortable working with customers, consultants, and sales teams.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility based on project needs.
  • Fluent English is required.
