Job Description

We are looking for a Lead HVAC engineer to be part of Data Center Design Team, responsible for development, designing, selection and implementation of HVAC systems for data center modular solutions and standard products, in our Zagreb Team.

Some of the main responsibilities: 

  • Designing and developing HVAC solutions for data centers to highest standards and demanding requirements
  • HVAC discipline design and documentation development, including benchmark, technical and economic analysis.
  • Responsible for HVAC discipline in development of new data center solutions products and systems
  • Reflect 5G, Edge data centers trends into cooling solutions within new concepts and products developments
  • Providing support and expertise for the implementation of standard and Low-Carbon cooling solutions
  • Providing support and expertise for the implementation of alternative cooling solutions
  • Bring your knowledge of HVAC and Cooling systems to support other developments such as controls
  • Selection of required equipment and equipment suppliers, including collaboration with suppliers
  • Work with selection and calculation software from various suppliers of data center cooling equipment
  • Monitor performance of assigned suppliers in terms of final quality requirements
  • Technical and commercial verification of suppliers proposals for HVAC equipment, HVAC philosophy / Schematic, flow and control diagrams
  • Developing of SD, DD and CD documentation sets, including installation and assembly documentation and Developing of erection and installation procedures, maintenance manuals
  • Performing acceptance tests in front of customers for cooling segment within overall solution project
  • Assist sales team in the preparation of technical/commercial quotes to end customers
  • Participate in exhibitions, seminars and other activities; marketing material development
  • FAT and SAT procedures development and CFD analysis

Qualifications

  • University degree or technical studies in the faculty of Mechanical engineering – thermal orientation
  • Data Center Design certification (e.g. Uptime Institute ATD, TIA942 acc. Designer etc.)
  • 3 to 5 years work experience in mechanical, electromechanical and thermal applications
  • 1 to 2 years work experience in Data centers or similar large and complex projects
  • Experience in HVAC design and documentation development
  • Fluent in English, both speaking and writing
  • A strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration installations and HVAC systems
  • AutoCAD software
  • Autodesk REVIT
  • Inventor or other CSG modelling software
  • Time management
  • Organizational and management skills
  • Internal and external communication skills
  • Solid communication skills to work across multiple Engineering and Manufacturing teams in dynamic environment
  • Customer interaction to transition thoughts and concepts into solutions
  • Possible business trips around region for customer meetings and technical discussions, production controlling and testing and in possession of Driving license – Class B
