We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist / Manager to handle and manage the company’s procurement processes. The company is in the phase of expanding the business of “Datacenter” and “EVCS (Electric Vehicle Charging Station)” from Asia to EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). The commodities involved – Cooling, Switchboards, Middle Voltage Switchgears, Transformers, Prefabricated modules (containers).
The Procurement Specialist/Manager’s duty is to utilize his/her experience to develop existing relationship with suppliers, to support the localization and operation in business and to work with various stakeholders to support daily operations internally, i.e. quotation and project implementation, to achieve the operation excellence and successful business in EMEA.
Collaborate with related parties to clarify the specification and expectation of the company from a procurement perspective
Seek for profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
Manage external vendors to secure advantageous terms
Handle the ordering of necessary goods and services in SAP & CRM systems
Coordinate and control material and service deliveries in project implementation
Examine and manage existing contracts
Create and implement sourcing strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and combine the complexities and challenges within the industry
Build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs
Full-time position and work in Hoofddorp office, the Netherlands
5+ years proven working experience as a Procurement Specialist, Procurement Manager or Procurement Officer in the related industries or companies
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or supply chain management is required
Experience in Data Center Solutions is required
Capability in handling daily procurement activities in operating systems (i.e. SAP)
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Any second European Language is considered a plus
Profession in negotiation and collaboration with other functions internally.
