Job Description

Please note that this position is part of the National Chiao Tung University Program and student membership with the university is required during the entire period of the internship. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Open Network Software Engineer to investigate the SDN system as part of or Delta Networks products.  

Your learning goals: 

  • Generate white papers on “Programmability on Delta’s Open Switch Platform”
  • Design and configure a demo case for customers to understand the capability of Delta’s open switch
  • Work with customers for PoC (proof of concept) and validate the results
  • Assist local team to digest technical materials from SDN/NFV conferences and seminars

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree at National Chiao Tung University Taiwan
  • Studying for Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or IR related program
  • Good understanding of IP Networking (HW/SW) and protocols
  • Understanding of Software defined network (SDN) and its implementation
  • Understanding of NFV (network functionality virtualization) and its framework
  • Capable of operating Delta’s Open Switch with selected Switch OS
  • Familiar with ONOS, OF-DPA and P4  
  • Self-motivated, dedicated, can-do attitude, initiative-taking, not afraid to take risks and passionate about making a difference
  • Excellent English communication skills in spoken and written
