Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and support clients in meeting their tax obligations, ensuring compliance with local and international tax requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Lead and deliver tax transformation projects, including the implementation of tax compliance solutions and the redesign of tax processes and operations.
- Conduct workshops, analyse client needs, and translate tax and business requirements into effective solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on matters of tax compliance, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues, fostering strong and lasting client relationships.
- Actively seek possible improvements to processes, technologies and methodologies (e.g. automation, analytics, etc.), and communicate the ideas with the team of colleagues.
- Contribute to proposals, process documentation, and project updates, ensuring transparency and stakeholder alignment.
Qualifications
Relevant experience includes:
- Experience managing tax compliance obligations for clients or within a business, covering indirect tax, direct tax, VAT reporting, or similar.
- Experience delivering or supporting tax transformation projects, including the implementation of tax compliance solutions, process redesign, or operational change.
- An understanding of tax processes end-to-end and the ability to identify pain points and design effective solutions.
- Strong consulting skills, including gathering requirements, managing client expectations, and building trusted relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and evaluate the business impact of decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a knack for simplifying complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
