We are now looking for Strategy & Business Design Trainees to join our Monitor Deloitte strategy team in Helsinki.

Monitor Deloitte is our strategy consulting practice, working with the leading and most ambitious corporations and public organizations to drive growth on the issues that are most important to them. We work with chief executives and their teams to catalyse enterprise wide, strategy-led transformation to realize full business value, leveraging deep perspectives about customers, technology evolution and disruption, sector-blurring ecosystems, and changing sources of competitive advantage.

We would like you to start your four-to-five-month Trainee period during the end of 2026 or start of 2027. Our goal is that as many Trainees as possible continue with us also after the Trainee period or after graduating.

What will your role include?

As a Strategy & Business Design Trainee, you will be involved in projects related to growth, corporate and business strategy, business design and configuration, innovation & ventures, and strategic transformation. Together with our skilled team you will help our clients drive growth, improve margins and profitability, and create and drive transformational change. Your tasks can include, for example, data gathering and analysis, preparing client materials, attending client workshops and project reporting.

Our practitioners are motivated by genuine interest and curiosity towards the problems they solve, originating from very different fields of business. We commit ourselves to providing these truly interesting opportunities to all our practitioners and expect this to turn into incomparable performance in the eyes of our clients. We engage the whole project team to work closely with the client and each other – to consult, debate, create and iterate.

Do you have ability to see the big picture and analytical approach to problem solving? Then you’d probably fit well in our team! We are looking for a confident team player that thrives working with variety of clients and stakeholders and adapts easily to changing circumstances.

To succeed in this role, we also wish that you:

• have a relevant master’s degree (e.g. economics, strategy, finance, industrial engineering and management or similar), either graduated or nearing graduation
• are keen on daily interaction and close collaboration with the client
• are a natural communicator, and can communicate fluently in at least one Nordic language and in English
• are proactive and solution oriented
• are interested in long-term strategic thinking and the implementation of business improvement recommendations
• have enthusiasm to work with industrial sector, financial sector and/or public sector clients
