Job Description

Financial Advisory is the department within Deloitte that offers our clients advice during the transaction process (M&A), including services such as valuation, financial modelling, financial due diligence, commercial due diligence, sale and purchase agreement advice, restructuring support, corporate finance advisory and integration & separation services. 

Financial Advisory operates with five main areas: M&A Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Valuation & Modelling, Integration & Separation Services, and M&A Strategy & Value Creation Services. Within M&A Integration & Separation Services, we are looking for an Analyst to join our team in Stockholm in January 2024.

As an Analyst in our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting corporate and private equity clients through well-tried integration and separation programmes. This position offers an opportunity to work on various operational aspects of the M&A deal lifecycle, contribute to project management, and engage with client stakeholders to optimize the value of a deal. You will be working on both Swedish and international projects, leveraging the strength of Deloitte’s extensive network of dedicated integration and separation practitioners.

  • Support clients in implementing integration- and separation programmes with a robust governance and structured approach
  • Work across the deal lifecycle, from pre-deal synergy reviews, carve-out cost assessments to deal planning and execution
  • Drive the programme management office and day-to-day management of our engagements
  • Prepare management and board presentations on programme status, risks/issues, and decision items
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating client workshops and meetings
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at growing Deloitte’s market presence in the Nordics and across industries

Qualifications

A successful candidate has the following qualities:

  • MBA/Master's degree or equivalent with good academic results
  • Strong interest in M&A from a strategic and operational perspective
  • Ability to work in a team and independently when necessary
  • A flexibility to meet peaks of work inherent in the cycle of a deal
  • Excellent communication skills in English and preferably a Scandinavian language
  • A positive outset on life and a good sense of humour
  • Strong MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
