Are you interested in financial risk management, incl. development of processes, controls and quantitative models? Would you like to help top Finnish and international financial services firms (banks, insurers, asset managers) steer and control the credit, market and liquidity risk positions in their business models? We are now looking for Financial Risk Management Trainees to join our team in Helsinki!

We would like you to start your 4 months full-time Trainee period in January 2024. Our goal is that as many Trainees as possible continue with us after the Trainee period or after graduating.

Our Financial Risk Management team provides risk advisory services for our clients, primarily in the Financial Services Industry. As a Financial Risk Management Trainee, you will support financial institutions with design, implementation and validation of financial risk models, risk management processes and related governance.

In this role you will have the opportunity to build your expertise broadly as a financial risk expert. You will participate in various projects from risk assessment to solution deployment. You will for example support our clients with the interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements related to financial risk across risk modelling, stress testing and capital management. If you are interested, there are also opportunities to gain experience in programming (Python, R, SQL). In addition to client work, you will participate in business development. To succeed in this role, we also wish you have:

• Recently graduated (or are about to graduate) with a Master’s degree in a numerate major, e.g. economics, business administration, mathematics, physics, computer science or engineering
• Enthusiasm to work together with others
• Willingness to learn new things and positive attitude
• Fluency in English (fluency in Finnish is not required but would be beneficial)

Previous work experience that supports the role is considered an advantage. Experience in from our core client industries (banking, insurance, asset management) is an advantage but the most important thing is initiative and a desire to learn new things.
