Company Description

Are you interested in working in the challenging environment of Mergers and Acquisitions? We are looking for students who are finalising their studies or who have already graduated to join our Financial Advisory team as an Operational M&A Trainee in Helsinki.

The Trainee period is five to six months, and we would like you to start in January 2024. Our goal is that as many Trainees as possible continue with us also after the Trainee period or after graduating.

Job Description

Our Financial Advisory team in Finland provides services spanning the entire acquisitions & divestment lifecycle. Our team's target is to help our clients achieve the expected deal value, concentrating on operational due diligence in the pre-deal phase as well as planning and execution of integration/separation programme in the post-deal phase. Additionally, our operational M&A team engages in performance improvement projects aiming to improve profitability of client companies.

As a Trainee you will support our experienced professionals with various assignments. You will analyse target company data to build the synergy potential case for a proposed M&A deal and review the separation complexities and potential additional standalone costs of divestments. In performance improvement projects, you will assist in analysing company financials and identify areas for profitability improvement. Your tasks also include preparing and facilitating workshops and other meetings for integration, separation and performance improvement programs while managing key programme milestones, governance and risks.

You will support and work directly with our clients with the daily Programme Management Office (PMO) tasks (e.g. updating project plans, action point logs, meeting memos and other administrative work) in the execution phase of an integration or separation.
