• being part of a close and ambitious team of Detect & Respond advisors, SOC analysts, Security Architects, Engineers, Red Team, Cyber Strategy advisors and experienced Threat Hunters in the Netherlands;
• shaping and leading projects for our customers, such as SOC transformations, defining SOC strategies, leading technical teams to build SOC capabilities and designing technical architectures;
• understanding client objectives and tailoring our Advisory project approaches and Managed Security Services, to build a compelling story and solution that maximizes value to our clients and shows our key differentiators;
• advising and designing of SOC innovations for our clients across hybrid IT environments, and helping them adopt a threat-informed defense approach;
• getting the opportunity to help shape the future of our Advisory and Managed Security Services work and the freedom to build your own propositions;
• working with cutting edge technology in the field of SIEM, EDR, NTA, UEBA, BAS and SOAR.
• define strategic direction to respond to Managed SOC (MSS) RFPs by crafting proposals that highlight key differentiators and client value;
• analyze client objectives to tailor MSS RFP responses, ensuring alignment with their goals and maximizing impact.

You have an affinity for technology and a background in Security Operations advisory, design or operations and want to use this expertise to advise customers. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment where you can help shape the work we do and forge your own path.

Furthermore, for the role Detect & Respond advisor, you also have:

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience, such as working in a cyber security advisory function or working in (or with) a SOC;
• experience with Managed Security Services is a plus, but not a requirement;
• strong communication and consulting skills where you are a main counterpart for our customers and you take ownership of the quality of our end-results;
• strong conceptual understanding of common and next-generation SOC technology and an understanding of how these technologies can be used to improve detection & response across different types of IT architectures;
• knowledge of what 'good looks like' when it comes to Cyber Detection and Response, and the ability to provide clients with concrete recommendations for improvements;
• you inherently focus on getting things done (80/20 rule), focusing on what brings the biggest impact for our clients;
• an excellent command of written and spoken English and Dutch.

You will be part of our Cyber Defense, Resilience and Operations team that is made up out a combination of strategic advisors and hands-on technical experts such as detection engineers, threat hunters and incident responders. This team is part of our bigger Cyber business of 250+ people strong. We help organizations defend themselves against cyber attacks. Our local SOC is located in The Hague, but we hybrid across our own offices, client locations and at home.
