Our Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) team are looking for a technically skilled Manager with 5+ years of experience in the sector to join our Tauranga office. In this role, you’ll help manage our team and work with clients to navigate various external reporting challenges. You’ll work across industries, collaborating with our other service lines to practically apply your IFRS and PBE IPSAS knowledge to deliver practical, client-oriented solutions.

The impact you'll make:
As a Manager, you will use your skills gained in your CA qualification (or equivalent) and your 5+ years of experience from Big 4/ md-tier environments, or from an industry role in:
- Providing clients with practical and pragmatic accounting solutions for unique challenges
- Preparing, reviewing and improving IFRS and PBE IPSAS financial statements
- Enhancing clients finance functions by improving processes and performance
- Supporting clients through disruptive events (such as merges & acquisitions or divestments)
- Assisting clients with sustainability and performance reporting
- Building, leading and guiding strong teams, fostering an environment of growth, and collaboration across functions
- Fostering trust through genuinely help our clients, adding value, particularly through the audit process
Qualifications
Your expertise:
- Proven ability to manage projects and solve problems in the finance world – this could be through experience within audit (ideally Big 4 or mid-tier firm experience), or in industry.
- Analytical, curious, and willing to learn, always seeking to stay ahead of industry changes.
- Proven leadership capabilities, lead by example, able to build strong relationships with clients and your Deloitte Whanau.
- Ability to leverage accounting technical skills to make a meaningful impact.
- Full CA membership (or equivalent) with (5+ years of experience, either in NZ or globally.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, including knowledge of IFRS and PBE IPSAS.
- Experience managing projects in professional services, or industry.
- Self-motivated, client-focused, and results-driven with a passion for continuous improvement.
